About
Lets build together
Based in Los Angeles, Kristin Dalleske is a character fabricator and specialty costumer whose work moves between puppetry, creature builds, and physical environments for film, live performance, and immersive experiences. Kristin is particularly interested in how characters exist in the real world. It goes beyond aesthetics alone; how they are worn, how they move, and how they survive repeated use are equally important. Whether shaping a foam-based creature body, fabricating and finishing a puppet, or integrating costuming and surface detail, her work is guided by a practical understanding of performance, durability, and storytelling. Her path has taken her through a variety of production environments, collaborating with studios and creative teams including The Jim Henson Company, KreatureKid, and SunWeaver Creative. Within Henson-adjacent workflows, she contributed to specialty costuming on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. With KreatureKid, her knowledge of puppetry and careful problem-solving as lead puppet fabricator were essential in bringing complex character components together for feature projects such as Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls. Beyond characters, Kristin’s credits also include set props and décor for the feature film Gunslingers, as well as large-scale immersive events and convention installations like the Labyrinth Masquerade and branded booth activations for Crunchyroll. In these settings, her role often involves a thoughtful balance of fabrication, curation, and visual cohesion. Across all her work, Kristin is known for a calm, collaborative approach. Equally at home in the shop or on set, she enjoys the quiet challenges of problem-solving under real production conditions, where clear communication and adaptability matter just as much as craft. She is especially drawn to projects that value physical storytelling, rich material detail, and characters that feel quite unmistakably alive.
